Speaker, Natasha Dawood, will review who MPAC is, its role as an organization, the types of properties they assess, and discuss the property and assessment cycle in Ontario. She will also provide an update on the 2016 province-wide Assessment, review the property assessment notice and the AboutMyProperty Website.
About our speaker:
Natasha Dawood is the Account Manager in the Municipal and Stakeholder Relations Department at the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). She received her Honors Bachelor’s Degree from Ryerson University in Geographic Analysis and Business Marketing. Upon completing her degree, Natasha started her career in property assessment and taxation at MPAC in the Product Development department. From there, she has held various positions in both public and private corporations, more recently as the Manager of Revenue and Taxation Services/Deputy Treasurer with the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, and Manager of Property Tax with the Calloway Real Estate Investment Trust. In addition to her Bachelor’s Degree, Natasha holds a Certificate of recognition of achievement in Municipal Tax Administration. Natasha is also a member of the Ontario Municipal Tax and Revenue Association.
