How to Join

Interested in joining? Membership to BPW Durham is open to both women AND men who are working, self-employed or professionals. We invite you to come to one or two meetings and fill out an application. Once approved, and with receipt of your membership fee, we will arrange for your official installment into our organization!
Costs
Monthly Dinner Meetings
Meetings average 10/year (Sept to June) – Dinner fees subject to change without notice, please confirm prior to reserving your seat!
Members: $30.00/person
Student $25.00/person
Guests: please contact
BPW Durham Club Fees 2011
New Members: $165.00/yr
Renewing Members: $150/yr
Corporate*: $430.00/yr
Student**: $80/yr
* Corporate fees include the membership club fee and monthly fees for dinner meetings. Corporate members are allowed up to two representatives to attend monthly meetings at the member rate. Only one vote per membership.
**Minimum 18 years and full-time Post Secondary
Fees reflect operations costs and are annually reviewed at the BPW Durham AGM. Increases will be implemented in the next renewal cycle, unless BPW International, BPW Canada, or BPW Ontario fee increases are implemented in the same calendar year.
Prospective Members are invited to download and fill in the New Membership Application 2011 and submit to the Membership Chair with your fee payment. Please contact the Membership Chair if you should have any questions or would like more information.

Knowing Your Value and How to Ask for It Workshop

During this 'Pay Equity Month' , BPWDurham in partnership with the Town of Ajax will be holding a breakfast seminar. Lorna Weston-Smyth, leadership and communication coach, will speak about how business and professional women can appreciate the value of their work, speak up for what they deserve and ask for what they want to formulate new solutions to make gains in the corporate world.
